Katie Miller – Blessed Trinity High School, Roswell, GA
Katie Miller is a graduate of Blessed Trinity High School in Roswell, GA. She could not be with us today as she is already attending a summer program at the US Naval Academy that will prepare Katie for her four-year professional development curriculum at the Academy where she is pursuing a degree in Ocean Engineering. This military-engineering pursuit seems to have been solidified for Katie after her 2015 Marine Corps Summer Camp attendance at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. At this engineering camp, Katie saw first-hand that she can pursue a career allowing her to both serve our Nation and to solve problems through engineering. Her recommendation letters made specific references to Katie’s clear vision, confidence, perseverance, and natural leadership abilities.
In addition to the Naval Academy Summer Seminar, Katie has also been busy as a member of MU Alpha Theta (Math organization), Habitat for Humanity, Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Swim & Dive, and Varsity Track & Field while also taking time to be in her church choir.
