ABOUT

SAME Announces Virtual JETC! As you know, SAME made the decision to not hold the 2020 JETC in-person as originally planned due to the nation's collective response efforts to COVID-19 and because venues in Washington, D.C., have been declared closed past our scheduled dates. But we have replaced the anticipation of our Centennial Kickoff event with the same zeal for a new and unexpected opportunity to adapt and serve our members. We have been hard at work with speakers/ participants, and industry and government stakeholders to re-conceive a virtual offering of many of the education and training components that make JETC so valuable. An overwhelming number of those subject matter experts we reached out to responded by saying: "I'm all in-Count on me to deliver my content via any method."

We are now excited to announce that SAME is planning to host a "Virtual JETC" beginning May 27, when JETC was originally scheduled to start!

Virtual JETC will allow attendees to take in as much of the content as possible, while being mindful of the additional personal and professional challenges individuals are facing this spring. The program we are planning will better allow attendees to fit in their participation within their schedules, which we know are more complex than in a typical year. Sessions can be experienced in a live virtual environment or by recording to access at a later date. PDH credits will be available for all education and training sessions!

Virtual JETC will provide professional development and networking opportunities-most importantly, it will allow you to connect with colleagues, enhance your knowledge base, and strengthen your company and agency at what is a pivotal time for the industry and the nation.

Founded in 1920, the Society of American Military Engineers—as it has for nearly 100 years—leads collaborative efforts to identify and resolve national security infrastructure-related challenges.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT JETC

SAME has made the decision not to hold the 2020 JETC in-person as originally planned due to the nation's collective response efforts to COVI-19. Join us for a re-tooled Virtual JETC that still offers education, training and networking opportunities. Virtual JETC will allow attendees to fit in their participation within their schedules, while still supporting the SAME mission "to lead collaborative efforts to identify and resolve national security infrastructure-related challenges."

The 2020 JETC will provide general sessions and keynote speakers that highlight how SAME and our partners and stakeholders are making an impact. Education and training sessions will include presentations addressing the broad technical nature of SAME’s membership.
